New York State requires a minimum of 500 hours of training for a Master Barber License. At Tribeca, our Master Barber Program is 510 hours and can be completed in as little as 17 weeks (approximately 4 months) on the full-time morning or afternoon schedule. If you prefer a part-time weekend schedule, the same program takes 26 weeks. Our Express Barber Program (for students with prior barbering experience) is 360 hours and can be completed in as little as 12 weeks.
Yes. All of our programs come with an in-house payment plan. You pay a down payment to enroll ($500 for barber programs, $1,200 for the Cosmetology Program) and then $200 per week for the remainder of your program. No lump sum, no interest, no hidden fees. For our Master Barber Program, no prior experience is required. We teach you everything from the ground up — from the fundamentals of barbering technique to client communication, business skills, and state board exam preparation. Our Express Barber Program is designed for students who already have verifiable barbering experience (at least 400 hours of apprenticeship or 200 hours of classroom cosmetology/esthetics) and want a faster path to licensure.

We also offer a 2-day Hair Extensions Certificate course.
