Upon registration, all students must make an initial payment in the amount of $1,000
Foreign documents must be translated and notarized before being submitted.
If you don’t have either one you can take Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) prior to registration.

Yes, we offer a flexible payment plan to make our Master Barber Program more accessible for potential students. All students pay a $1000 down payment to begin their education, with the remainder due in equal weekly installments of $200.
No prior experience is required to enroll in our Master Barber Program — we teach you everything from the ground up!
Our Master Barber Program consists of 510 hours of training as required by the New York State Board. You can expect that 85-90% of this time will be dedicated to actual, practical hands-on classes.
Our Master Barber Program provides flexible class schedules that are popular among our students. We offer full-time weekday morning classes, full-time weekday afternoon classes, and part-time weekend classes to accommodate the needs of most students.
Currently, we do not offer an evening barbering program. If you’re interested in evening classes, our full-time weekday afternoon classes might be the best option for you, as they are held from Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Yes. Our Master Barber Program curriculum is specifically designed to fully prepare students for the written and practical portions of the New York State Barber Operator exam and to receive the Master Barber License.
Our Master Barber Program graduates can become licensed barbers, hairdressers, hair stylists, men’s grooming specialists, colorists, barber shop or salon managers, and even hair salon owners. More information about job opportunities and career development can be found on our Career Center page.
The main difference between the Master Barber Program and the Express Barber Program is the duration of training and the admission requirements.
The Master Barber Program lasts 4 months, with a range of 17 to 26 weeks, depending on the chosen class schedule. No prior experience is required to enroll in the Master Barber Program.
In contrast, the Express Barber Program lasts 3 months, ranging from 12 to 18 weeks based on the selected class schedule. To qualify for the Express Barber Program, applicants must provide verifiable proof of either 400 hours of barbering apprenticeship experience or 200 hours of classroom experience in cosmetology or esthetics.

We evaluate transfer hours based on New York State board guidelines and your previous school’s records. Due to certain legal requirements, our students may transfer their barbering hours only from schools within New York State.
